Considering car-sharing? Think again!
Ride Sharing companies like Uber and Lyft continue to make news. By not providing comprehensive insurance coverage, these companies put their drivers at severe risk when they are between rides.

Car Sharing companies, like GetAround or RelayRides, are no better. Car Sharing is when a car owner who is not using his/her car rents it out to strangers through these car-sharing providers, to make a quick buck. But in case of an accident, both insurers and car-share companies are mum on who pays for damages.

If you are considering renting out your car for car-share, think again. If your car is involved in an accident, you may have to pay thousands of dollars in damages plus litigation costs if any. Contrast this with the few hundred dollars you may earn through car-share, and you'll realize it's not worth the risk.

Young and Underinsured?
Recent studies have shown that millennials (those born between 1980 and 1996), are an underinsured group. While some of them do not have any insurance product (home, life or auto), many of them are not prompt with their renewals, or do not stick with the same insurer for long. This puts them at severe risk.

According to ASIRT (Association for Safe International Road Travel), as many as 8000 people die every year in the US from accidents that involved drivers who were less than 20 years old.

Having an active automobile insurance requires a little discipline. You need to be prompt with your premium payments, you must maintain all documentation required for claims processing and such other details. But it's worth the effort.

At Insurance by Allied Brokers, we understand how millennials think. Our auto insurance plans are very cost-effective, and we have made it easy for youngsters to work with us. Call us on our toll-free # 1-888-505-7988 and get more information.

TCRS Survey emphasizes Retirement Planning
The Transamerica Center for Retirement Studies published its annual survey last week. The survey assesses financial preparedness of people across all age groups, from the 20s to the 70s.

Some findings were interesting. Unlike the past, more people want to work as long as possible (20 percent) and 37 percent of people expected work to be their primary source of income in retirement.

But most people were not sure how to handle the transition into retirement (18 percent). Even among youngsters who have started planning for Retirement, as much as 37 percent knew nothing about allocating assets or the various investment options.

Investing in the wrong options can yield low returns and put your Retirement Plans at risk. Don't let this happen to you. Call us on 1-888-505-7988 (toll-free) and we'll help you plan your retired life better.
