Blue Shield and Health net are in stalled negotiations with Sutter Health which includes PAMF. Our opinion is that they will both end up settling with Sutter. Last year Stanford and Blue shield did not settle for Obamacare plans only. 200 total of our clients have Blue Shield that is not a preferred provider at Stanford and Menlo Medical Clinic. That is why all our individual Obamacare plan health clients should switch to Health net. Call or email me - 650-614-1040 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Sutter and Stanford have different business models. Stanford could afford to draw a line in the sand for ACA plans. It would be too damaging to the Sutter and the health insurance companies to break up. This should force Sutter, health net and Blue Shield to settle on all plans.
Medicare and Grandfathered plans should stay put since they are not going to be affected at all.
Obamacare plans went up 20% in 2017. Grandfathered plans 9%. This gap should accelerate going forward. Keep your grandfathered plan as long as you can.
Rates for covered California are soaring while preferred providers lists are shrinking. If you have a grandfathered plan thru us keep it as long as you can. The rates will go up slower and the choice of providers is better.
Stanford is no longer accepting ACA plans due to low reimbursement. Group and Grandfathered plans are still accepted.
Obamacare: Covered California's health plan prices soar
Californians who buy coverage through the state's health insurance exchange better get ready for a dose of sticker shock: Average premiums next year will shoot up more than 13 percent statewide -- and could even double that in some parts of Northern California. read full story...
50% cut in Agents' commissions on Medicare supplement products. This was preceded by an 80% cut in commissions on Blue Shield individual health insurance. Obamacare has effectively forced us out of the health insurance business. Luckily most of our health insurance clients have their home, auto and business insurance with us as well.
This allows us to continue to provide service to our existing clients as an accommodation. If you do not have your other insurance with us please call our office for a free review. This will allow us to remain in business to help our clients that value our services, even if the government and insurance companies do not.
